| So, I guess this is going to be my home for the next 3 years. To your left is the law building at Michigan State University. I'm pretty sure that I've done what is required of me to receive my hefty students loans. If you don't see me until 2009, I'm just working my ass off to try to make all of this debt worthwhile. MSU Law |
I am still a bit nervous, but I think it's just jitters. I'm fairly certain that the curriculum is something that won't exactly come naturally, but I think it may come easily. Easy law? Well, yeah, but only because of a combination of logic and interesting topics. If you enjoy what you are reading, it won't feel like a chore. If you are comfortable and at ease, the information will absorb quicker than it will if you tense. I'm going into this with as much condifence as I can muster given that it is a completely new experience and has been built up as the most impossible thing to do. I know that I lack in self-motivation, but I don't think that this is an instance in which I can afford to be slack. I am going for a top GPA in order to secure a scholarship for the 2nd semester and beyond. It's not a question of ability. I know that I can go in there and kick ass. It's a question of distractions and stamina. I have never had to throw myself into something so encompassing. The way they make it sound, I will average less than 4 hours of sleep per night and my waking hours will be all dedicated to law. I know there are worse students out there than myself, but I'm not looking to 'just get by' this time. I am looking to , and will, excel. I was looking over the statistics of admitted students and my numbers are near the top for MSU. As long as I can continue to keep myself in the range that I'm starting in, I won't have any problems. |
